Client Info

One Week Before Your Appointment

Please arrange childcare for children who will not be seen during the session. Children may not be left unattended in the waiting area; however, nursing infants are welcome to remain with their parent.
Initial appointments typically last 60–90 minutes.

One Day Before

Please complete all intake paperwork prior to your first session. This allows us to devote your full appointment time to you.

When You Arrive

WellPower operates by appointment only. Please arrive at your scheduled time, as the office may not be open earlier.

If your paperwork has been completed in advance, you will only need to complete a brief one-page screening tool upon arrival. If any forms are incomplete, you will be asked to finish them before your session begins. If you plan to complete all paperwork in the office, please allow an additional 30 minutes and notify us in advance.

During Your First Appointment

Your first visit is conversational and relaxed. There is no medical table or formal setting—just a comfortable office environment designed to help you feel at ease.

We will begin by discussing what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. The more open you are, the easier it will be to create an effective treatment plan. That said, you are never required to discuss anything before you feel ready.

At WellPower, we value the perspective of each client and family. Your questions and concerns are important. If your provider takes notes during the session, it is simply to ensure accuracy and quality of care.

After Your Appointment

If follow-up sessions are recommended, we will schedule them before you leave so you don’t have to worry about coordinating later.
